Make Space With Bedroom Closet Organizers

New homes today seem to have larger bedroom closets than those built previously, but we still seem to run out of closet space! I'm not sure if it's because we have more clothes than earlier generations or if they were just more organized than we are in our hectic lives. Don't fear, bedroom closet organizers are a great way to increase your closet storage space and stay organized without knocking down walls!

Closet organizers can include shelves, rods, and drawers in a variety of combinations. You can have two rods, one at the top of the closet for hanging shirts on, and one half way down for pants and skirts. Or you can have one rod with either drawers or shelves above or below it. Many designs also include shoe organizers and smaller storage areas for items such as socks and scarves.

There are many different bedroom closet organizers available in a variety of stores and price ranges. Do some research to find out what will work best for your situation and closet size, and make sure to ask a lot of questions before you purchase so you get the most effective solution for your bedroom.

Depending on your budget, you can buy custom built closet organizers or you can purchase modular pieces from your local department or hardware store so you can mix and match which pieces you want to use. Sometimes just adding some shelving to one side of the closet can make a big difference in getting all of those sweaters off the closet floor.

The higher end organizers are usually made with wood or metal with and look like upscale furniture. The lower cost organizers are often made with particle board or wire and can still look quite attractive. It will be up to you to decide how much money you can afford to spend on something that ideally most of your guests will never see. On the other hand, you will see it every day, so you should purchase a solution that is still pleasing for you to look at.

Closet organizers aren't just for bedrooms, they can be used in almost any closet throughout your home for different items. Every coat closet needs a shoe rack to prevent a pile of mismatched shoes from falling out whenever the door is opened. And laundry rooms are often in need of some organizing as well!

If you're feeling a little more creative or if your budget doesn't have room for store-bought closet organizers, there are still ways to get organized with what you already have at home. Place some unused shelving either in your closet (if you have room) or along a bedroom wall. Then use baskets, photo boxes, or plastic storage containers to hold your clothing and personal items. You've just cleaned up your bedroom without spending a lot of money!

From personal experience, my day starts off a lot better when I'm not sorting through a mess of shoes, purses, and old clothes to find what I'm looking for. There is often so much going on in the rest of our lives that it's comforting to know that at least our homes aren't chaotic!
